Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry

God made the way for me to speak to several churches in the past two months such as Rev Arul Das’ congregation in Udumalapet, Coimbatore district, Rev. Paul’s church in Pondicherry and a few more churches in Sirkali, Nagapattinam district. Several came and committed their lives to Christ in these meetings and services. Rev. Paul, who is also the president of the Pondicherry Pastors Association, invited us to share the challenges and difficulties we face in our mission fields. Many pastors were touched and have committed to visit North India mission fields as a team. Beloved, please join with us in prayer as we wait on the Lord for funding to complete and dedicate the Sivagiri mission field church in Tirunelveli district.

Rajasthan, Gujarat and Andhra Ministry

Pr. Arul Das has joined VOZ as VOZ North India mission field coordinator, based out of the VOZ head quarters in Coimbatore. Pr. Das is an experienced worker, having served 5 years in North India. In the coming days, he will be visiting and guiding our mission activities in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, especially with Pr. Val Singh and Pr. Motilal in Banswara district, Rajasthan, Pr. Ajaykumar Damor is in Udaipura village in Madhya Pradesh and Pr. Laxmanlal in Jolad district in Gujarat.

Beloved, please remember the VOZ missionaries and congregations in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as they continually face opposition and hostility, even violence at the hands of the saffron brigade. Pray that the Lord himself will give these folks strength and courage. There are many villages here that need proper places of worship. Keep these needs in prayer along with us.

Pr. Raj Oad our missionary in Nepal is arrested

No one [should] be unsettled by these trials. You know quite well that we were destined for them. - 1 Thessalonians 3:3

Brethren, thus far the Lord of the harvest has blessed us with 6 years of service in the western part of Nepal. Our Pr. Raj Oad and Pr. Mahesh Lawad and Pr. Nari Luhar serve there. But on 16 July 2008, our Pr. Raj Oad was preaching the word in a cottage meeting in Baskeda village among unreached souls when a group of ‘Maoist’ party leaders and members ‘arrested’ Pr. Oad and beat him and the believers, and put him prison. The Lord heard our prayers and Pr. Oad has been released; but faces a police enquiry. Pray with us for freedom to preach the word in Nepal.

We are in the last days. We hear and see terrible news daily. The end is near. But so many have still not heard the Gospel. Let us move into gear then: Being watchful and praying, employing our talents and gifts for the cause of His coming kingdom. Let us commit and give more of ourselves to His great commission.

MANIPUR: Pr. RH Robin

- Pray for Bro. Wilson and his wife Yaughichon for their salvation as they hear the gospel through our Pr. Robin in Yaopao village, Senapati district

- Pray for the family of Sis. Taokhaj for their salvation and their spiritual life to grow in Christ as they join VOZ prayer fellowship in Senapati Township.

- Pray for the safety and protection of Pr. Robin and his wife, ministering with us in Senapati district.

- Please pray for the deliverance of Bro. Sanakho and his wife Sanurou from their alcohol addiction and to heed the gospel in Ukhrol village, Senapati district.

- Praise God for the healing to Bro. John of Sis. Taokhaj’s Brother was suffering under heavy sickness was delivered after our Pr. Robins prayer.

- Praise God for the miraculous healing to Pr. Robin’s wife when she fell ill seriously last month.

UTTRANCHAL: Pr. Nari Ram Luhar

- Pray for the gospel ministry / house Churches ministry taking place in Jimwa, Basuwada, Subash Nagar, Burma Line, Baragotha, Ambed Nager, Ainbag, Muslim Colony, and Tanakpur town, to reach out and bring more non Christian people for the salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- Pray for the funds we need to buy 5 cents of land and to build a spacious church in Tanakpur town to accommodate more than 200 believers during worship service.

- Pray for the people who lost their houses and properties in Subash Nagar area during the recent flood. We need funds to rebuild their houses and for supplies.

- Praise God for the miraculous escape that our Lord done to Sis. Noorjha a Muslim convert. She is living in a Muslim Colony with her Muslim relations. She accepted Jesus where all her relatives were against to her and kept her away from their society. On 7 July, there was heavy rain in Tanakpur and the area was flooding. She awakened her children and took them all to a safe place. After few minutes, there was big flood and swept away most of the people, their houses and property. But God’s grace Sis. Noorjha and her children were safe.

- Praise God: Pr. Nari Ram Luhar met with an accident on 10 June while he was going for outreach village ministry. Unexpectedly, he hit an electric post and rolled down to a 40 feet deep area, where he could not stop, lost his control. But suddenly, somebody stopped him rolling and held Pr. Nari and bike midway and helped him to reach the road. It’s all done in few seconds. Pr. Nari was safe, escaped from a great danger.

NEPAL: Pr. Raj Oad & Pr. Mahesh Lawad

- Pray for the safety and protection to Pr. Raj Oad and family and Pr. Mahesh Lawad and family, finding difficulties and facing troubles / threats from Maoists, the Hindu front line parties and its leaders.

- Pray for the gospel ministry and house church ministry taking places in Suda, Bharli, Bangaon, Baskeda, Taintara, Sissaya, Sundarpur, Champapur, Aizy, Sukasal, and Bhashi villages, and pray for the people attending in the fellowship to grow in the word of God and to receive the salvation of Christ.

- Pray for the 10 of our Christian families in Jimuwa village, has lost all their houses and households, animals and their paddy fields due to the heavy rains and flood. We need funds to help them and rebuild our families who are our church members during the time of their troubles.

- Praise God: The Nepal Police and the Mavoists arrested Pr. Raj Oad who is our missionary in Nepal ministering in 13 villages, due to the gospel he preaches to non-Christians. He was in jailed. But all our church people / believers started praying for him. Lord our God, helped Pr. Nari Luhar in Nepal to go and approach the jail authorities and brought him out from the jail by the grace of God.

GUJARAT: Pr. Laxman Lal

- Pray for the gospel and out reach ministry we are doing in the villages Motiya, Hamirpura Bada, Shakerwara, Patapar, Buladi, Dhala Kheriya Macha, Sunakhavi and Jolad town. Pray that our Lord will bless these ministries and touch many villages for their repentance for their salvation.

- Pray for the safety and protection to Pr. Laxman Lal and family ministering for our Lord among the hundreds of Hindu idol worshippers.

- Pray for the newly baptized 5 believers to grow in faith and in the word of God for their spiritual growth.

RAJASTAN: Pr. Moti Lal & Pr. Valsingh Khihuri

- Pray for the village / out reach ministry in Jambudi, Bhoyan, Chirola, Ratanpura, and in Kurd for their salvation /spiritual life.

- Pray for the funds we need to complete the on going two church construction ministry in Hamirpura and Padlavadakia in Rajasthan.

- Pray for the believers in our Banswara district churches to stand bold and live firm in our Lord’s His faith and His salvation.

- Pray for the anti-Christian leaders and the Hindu people living around in Hamirpura, and in Padlavadakia / our mission field churches are to be touched by our Lord for their salvation and heavenly blessings.

MADHYA PRADESH: Pr. Ajaykumar Damor

- Pray for the village ministry and house church ministries taking places in Udulpura, Shamwarkot, Udaipura, Jodhan, Rangat, Bhanwarkat, Vasumi for their salvation and spiritual growth.

- Praise God for the instant healing and deliverance that our Lord given to Pr. Ajay Damor our missionary in Madhya Pradesh. When he was ministering with Pr. Laxman Lal in Jolad, Gujarat, he was badly beaten by the Hindu RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad people in Jolad village.

- Pray for the non Christian people, listening gospel and attending our prayer meetings in Rangatpura village to grow in our Lord God Jesus faith and to obey, follow His words.

- Pray for Sis. Kalai suffering from heavy malaria sickness in Udaipura village for the instant healing.

MAHARASTRA: Pr. Vasant Khobragade

- Pray for the gospel ministry and house church ministries taking places in Bembad, Nandgaon, Rajgad, Bavradu, Chintha, Takadi, Kedi, Tukum, Sawali villages and Mul Township to grow in word of God and to bring these 9 villages and Mul township for Christ and His salvation.

- Pray for Bro. Motiram Sahu and family giving their house for the cottage prayer meeting /bible study in Sambalpur village. Pray that Lord our God will protect Bro. Motiram family and bless them among their enemies.

- Pray for the funds we need to extend the existing church to accommodate the present growing strength of 350 people in Gopalpuri village church in Damteri district.

- Pray for the funds we need to buy a piece of 5 cents land to build a new church in “Chatti” village, Damteri district.

- Pray for the funds we need to repair the existing Ulnar church. At present, the roof and the building walls are very old, which the church roof is leaking, walls are having cracks and damages. The floor also need to be repaired or replaced.

- Praise God for the 20 non Christian people in Nawagnon village accepted Jesus Christ and decided to live for Christ. Kindly uphold these 20 people to stand firm in their faith and be bold to witness Jesus as their personal saviour.

- Praise God for the 5 Hindu people repented, confessed and accepted Jesus Christ in Jamtoli Village.Pray for them to be bold in Christ and to witness Christ as their personal Savior.

- Pray for Sis. Birsomin’s husband, he is standing against our God’s ministry in Amelpur, let our God touch him to accept our Lord’s salvations.

- Pray for the gospel ministry and house ministry in Dhouledanda, Baste Deobhubarpur, Tongarjor, Kharal Chapal, Adivasipara, Godapandha, Jamtoli villages to grow in faith and in word of God.

- Praise God for the safe delivery that our Lord provided to Pr. Barun Harpal’s wife and now they have wonderful baby boy.

- Pray for the gospel ministry and church growth ministry taking places in villages Gollapalli, Bobbili, Ganga Cholla Penta and Patruwada, the people of above said villages are to stand bold and live in the word of God.

- Pray for the people who lost their parents, families, wealth and properties during the recent bomb blast in Bangalore and pray that our Lord will give them His peace for the ones they lost will be provided.

- Pray for Pr. Moses and the villages he serves for the Lord in Shivpur, Lingapur, Munirabad, Sanapur, Aglikera, Kasankandi, Matti, Hitral and old Lingapur to receive our Lord’s salvation and to accept Jesus as their personal saviour.

- Praise God for the new coordinator Pr. Aruldas that our Lord has provided us for the North India ministry.

- Pray for the 6,21,10,839 people of Tamil Nadu and for their salvation.

Dear brethren,

I hope in the Lord that this epistle finds you all in good health and spirit. And I am glad to report that by His grace, we too are doing fine. God is doing mighty things. He has given us the land! All we have to do is go and take possession of it. Amen! Once more, I want to thank the Lord for all of you who are supporting us with your valuable time and hard-earned money, so that VOZ can take the Gospel to the poorest, most remote unreached villages; and for the upkeep of VOZ’s orphanage. May the Lord see what you give in secret and reward you openly many fold.

Nagpur missionary conference

It was truly a time of refreshing and renewal at VOZ’s three-day missionary conference in Nagpur from May 22 to 24. Some 150 missionaries including VOZ workers from India and Nepal attended. These were joined by several pastors and laymen from the nearby districts of Maharashtra and from the states of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. We were blessed with anointed church leaders and bible scholars and the Holy Spirit moved mightily among the gathering energizing and encouraging us.

We were blessed to have Pr. Jun De Jesus and Sis. Sally Francis from ANFGM Abu Dhabi, Pr. Abi Mathew from Patna and Dr. Elisha from Nagpur as the speakers. The themes were “preparing spiritual leaders” and “church growth in villages.”

I must thank Dr. Elisha, director of Truth University, Nagpur and his team for their help in organising this conference. As local people, their support was invaluable.

VOZ goes to Manipur

The North-Eastern state of Manipur has 9 districts and a population of about 2.4 million. Of this, 58% are unreached. VOZ is sending to this state, Pr. Robin and his wife Sis. Phyllis, a newly married couple who have joined us recently. They will be working among the tribal people of Senapati district and in other districts. We at VOZ have known Pr. Robin for some 4 years now: he has done his masters in theology and has a great desire to serve among the tribal people in rural Manipur. Manipur is a Christian state—some 34% of the population is traditional Christian. However, most Christian organisations operate in the urban areas. So we were moved to lead and support Pr. Robin in his village ministry. Please pray for this young brother and his ministry.

VOZ Orphanage

By the grace of God, all our children passed their annual exams and are now in new classes. Sarah and Jennifer are now entering high school in Karattumadam, Udumalapet Taluk. Primary school children attend a Government-run Tamil medium school within walking distance of the home and those in upper classes are in a school that is a bus-ride away.

Shanti, the oldest of the lot (aged 17) has cleared her state board exams. By God’s grace, we were able to get admission into the highly acclaimed BSc Biotech course in Kongu Nadu Arts and Science Collage, Coimbatore. We are thankful to God for her faithful sponsors who have made this possible. Continue to pray for this child that God will raise her up as a testimony to his loving kindness.

Beloved, the numbers of children are increasing: Now we have over 50 children (12 tribal children from Manipur). Because of this, we have built a separate block for the boys and a new indoor dining hall. Please remember the costs and the strain involved in this ministry and support us in any way you can.

Church Constructions:

We have three ongoing church constructions in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. In Sivagiri, Thirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, God helped us through a very generous brother in Muscat. But we still need funds for the two churches in Banswara district, Rajasthan and for the completion of the one in Sivagiri.

Beloved, we have missionary activities in 12 states of India and we are growing. So, the needs too are growing. Please remember that the people we work among are very poor, illiterate and often lacking in basic facilities such as sanitation, medicines and such. Let the Lord lead you in whatever way he wills to support us.

VOZ continues to receive applications from the independent pastors in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. We actually met some people who were willing to go as VOZ missionaries. Our resources are limited, so most of these young men are on standby. Please pray to the Lord of the harvest for the resources.

- Pray for the repentances of 81.7% Hindus, Islam 17.3%, Sikhs 0.4% and to accept Jesus as their personal saviour and the Christians of 0.14% for their protection.

- Pray for the funds we need to buy a piece of land to construct a spacious church and a pastor’s house in Tanakpur town.

- Pray for Sis. Urmila, our missionary field worker suffering from chest pain and heart trouble. Please uphold this sister in your prayers for her healing and deliverance.

- Praise God for the deliverance to Sis. Rita from unidentified sickness in stomach had serious pains by day and night. Doctors could not find the problem and treat her. Then we as church in Tanakpur and the Pr. Nari tearfully prayed for Sis. Ritas healing. God miraculously delivered her and now she witnesses Jesus the mighty healer.

ASSAM: Pr. Upendra Nanda, Pr. Issac Bagh

- Pray for the people living in 23 districts and the populations of 2,66,38,407 and for the their salvation.

- Pray for the repentances of 65% of Hindus, 31% Islam, Buddhist 0.3% and other religious in Assam and the protection to 3.1% Christians.

- Pray for the funds we need to build two spacious churches in Limbuguri, Tinsukia district.

- Pray for the healing and deliverance of our Lord to take place when our pastors visit hospitals in Tinsukia, Assam and all other VOZ mission fields in India.

- Praise God for Sis. Pinky from Limbuguri has repented from catholic spirit and accepted Jesus as her personal savior after hearing the gospel and God's word in our Limbuguri mission field church.

- Praise God for Sis. Monika and her husband from a Hindu family from Morapur Village, bearing lot of harassments and insults for their decision to accept Jesus and to go to church every Sunday in our Assam mission field church.

- Pray for the 5,64,73,112 people of Rajasthan state, living in 32 districts for their salvation.

- Pray for the funds we need to complete the ongoing of church constructions in Banswara District.

- Praise God on the healing and deliverances taking places in our village ministry. Pray for the people to increase on their faith in Christ.

CHATTISGARH: Pr. Hijikal Nagh, Pr. Thanuram Sahu

- Pray for the gospel to reach the population of 20,795,456 people living in 16 districts of Chattisgarh.

- Pray for the 92% of Hindus, 5.2% of Muslims and 0.85% Jains to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to receive the heavenly blessings.

- Pray for the release of heavy objections and closed doors to preach gospel in this state and to plant churches in this state.

- Pray for the funds we need to construct spacious churches in Ulnar and Gopalpuri to accommodate the present increasing strength.

- Praise God for the spiritual growth of Ulnar and Gopalpuri churches from 180 to 350 and 400 souls in the village.

- Praising God for the 3 Hindu families from Chatti village in Damteri district after hearing gospel, they repented, denied Hindu Gods, and poojas and coming to our VOZ Gopalpuri church regularly. Please pray for these families to grow in Christ.

Nagpur missionary conference

It was truly a time of refreshing and renewal at VOZ’s three-day missionary conference in Nagpur from May 22 to 24. Some 150 missionaries including VOZ workers from India and Nepal attended. These were joined by several pastors and laymen from the nearby districts of Maharashtra and from the states of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. We were blessed with anointed church leaders and bible scholars and the Holy Spirit moved mightily among the gathering energizing and encouraging us.

We were blessed to have Pr. Jun De Jesus and Sis. Sally Francis from ANFGM Abu Dhabi, Pr. Abi Mathew from Patna and Dr. Elisha from Nagpur as the speakers. The themes were “preparing spiritual leaders” and “church growth in villages.”

I must thank Dr. Elisha, director of Truth University, Nagpur and his team for their help in organising this conference. As local people, their support was invaluable.

VOZ goes to Manipur

The North-Eastern state of Manipur has 9 districts and a population of about 2.4 million. Of this, 58% are unreached. VOZ is sending to this state, Pr. Robin and his wife Sis. Phyllis, a newly married couple who have joined us recently. They will be working among the tribal people of Senapati district and in other districts. We at VOZ have known Pr. Robin for some 4 years now: he has done his masters in theology and has a great desire to serve among the tribal people in rural Manipur. Manipur is a Christian state—some 34% of the population is traditional Christian. However, most Christian organisations operate in the urban areas. So we were moved to lead and support Pr. Robin in his village ministry. Please pray for this young brother and his ministry.

VOZ Orphanage

By the grace of God, all our children passed their annual exams and are now in new classes. Sarah and Jennifer are now entering high school in Karattumadam, Udumalapet Taluk. Primary school children attend a Government-run Tamil medium school within walking distance of the home and those in upper classes are in a school that is a bus-ride away.

Shanti, the oldest of the lot (aged 17) has cleared her state board exams. By God’s grace, we were able to get admission into the highly acclaimed BSc Biotech course in Kongu Nadu Arts and Science Collage, Coimbatore. We are thankful to God for her faithful sponsors who have made this possible. Continue to pray for this child that God will raise her up as a testimony to his loving kindness.

Beloved, the numbers of children are increasing: Now we have over 50 children (12 tribal children from Manipur). Because of this, we have built a separate block for the boys and a new indoor dining hall. Please remember the costs and the strain involved in this ministry and support us in any way you can.

Church Constructions:

We have three ongoing church constructions in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. In Sivagiri, Thirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, God helped us through a very generous brother in Muscat. But we still need funds for the two churches in Banswara district, Rajasthan and for the completion of the one in Sivagiri.

Beloved, we have missionary activities in 12 states of India and we are growing. So, the needs too are growing. Please remember that the people we work among are very poor, illiterate and often lacking in basic facilities such as sanitation, medicines and such. Let the Lord lead you in whatever way he wills to support us.

VOZ continues to receive applications from the independent pastors in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. We actually met some people who were willing to go as VOZ missionaries. Our resources are limited, so most of these young men are on standby. Please pray to the Lord of the harvest for the resources.
